About.Established in 1972The Society was founded in 1972 and the Centre opened in 1974. It has been in operation for over 40 years and the Centre has successfully identified and responded to needs within the aboriginal community.

The Friendship Centre’s mission is “to improve the quality of life and meet the needs of Indigenous and other peoples who are faced with adjusting to the social, economic and cultural lifestyles of the community” and to foster enhanced spiritual growth among the Indigenous and non-Indigenous people who use the services and facilities of the Centre.
